Gifford Pinchot Task Force Outdoor Citizen-science Opportunities

The Gifford Pinchot Task Force has several opportunities to get out in the beautiful Gifford Pinchot National Forest and help them collect data about the health of the forest.

  • Road Survey Camping Trip Summer Camping Kick-Off on June 27-28
  • Hike along the Lewis River on July 9
  • Invasive Plant Hike at Big Hollow Trail on July 18
  • Timber Harvest Survey Trip at Silver Creek on July 23-24
  • Road Survey Day in the Wind River Watershed on July 31
  • Citizen Science Camping Trip in the Heart of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest on August 14-16
  • Grazing Monitoring Camping Trip in Mt. Adams Wilderness on August 28-29
  • Road Survey Trip to the Southern Gifford Pinchot National Forest on August 29
  • Wildlife Camera Survey Trip on September 4
  • Hike to Mount St. Helens proposed mine site in Green River Valley on September 12
  • Invasive Plant Hike in or near Indian Heaven Wilderness on September 13
  • Wildlife Camera Survey Trip at the Dark Divide on September 18
