The annual WHAS picnic will once again be held at Larry Brandt's home overlooking the Columbia River, in Cathlamet. Time will be 3-6pm, potluck, horseshoes, etc. Larry has an indoor pool and invites people to use it that day.

UPDATE:

Come and relax and chat with other members and WHAS friends or you can bird watch, play horse shoes or crochet, or swim in the Brandt's indoor pool.  Everyone is welcome!

Attendees are asked to bring one food item (salad, entree or dessert) to feed 4-6 people.  Snacks and drinks are also welcome.  Attendees will also need to bring personal eating items:  plates, cups, napkins, forks, knives, spoons.  WHAS will provide drinking water, iced sun tea, ice, coolers, tables, chairs, etc.

To get to the Brandt home:

From the west (Naselle):

Take Ocean Beach highway thru Cathlamet.  Slightly past the two service stations you will see a 55 mph speed sign.  Take the first right after the sign.  This is Island View Lane.  Proceed straight back to #18.  Lots of space for parking is available.

From the east (Longview):

Take Ocean Beach highway toward Cathlamet.  As you enter town you will notice a 50 mph regulatory sign on the right shoulder.  Island View Lane is just a few feet further on the left.  Make a left turn and proceed straight back to the Brandt residence at #18.  You've gone too far if you get to the service stations.  Turn around and look for Island View Lane on the right.

If you have friends or family who share WHAS' interest in birds and conservation, please invite them too. We're looking forward to seeing everyone on August 14
