The injured eagle was spotted along Highway 30 near Clatskanie and brought to the Audubon Society of Portland’s Wildlife Care Center nearly three months ago after a wing injury prevented the bird from flying. Audubon staff and volunteers at the Wildlife Care Center rehabilitated the injured eagle to prepare it for release back into the wild.

The release of a rehabilitated bald eagle is a victory for the Columbia River and we want you to be part of it. This is unique opportunity to learn about the eagle rehabilitation process and to witness the eagle’s first flight back into the wild.

Columbia Riverkeeper and the Portland Audubon Society thank the Port of Longview for providing this release site at the park near the eagle’s home.
