Willapa Hills Audubon joins Lower Columbia College and the Longview Library to bring Nina Baker, investigative reporter and author of The Body Toxic, to Longview, on October 20th. Ms. Baker will conduct a writing workshop, "Writing to Change the World" from 3 to 4:30 at Lower Columbia College Physical Science Bulding (PSC) Room #104. She will read from her book at 7:00 PM at the Longview Library. Baker's recent book "The Body Toxic spells" out the surprising answers that every consumer will want to know (but chemical companies would rather you didn't). The Body Toxic is powerful argument for urgent reforms to our nation's notoriously toothless toxics laws, and a clarion for greener, cleaner chemicals in consumer products.
